About The Position

The Digifabshop Logistics Associate is responsible for packaging, loading, and unloading merchandise, supplies, materials, or completed projects, as well as driving company vehicles to deliver or pick up materials or completed projects as needed. The Logistics Associate is also responsible for assisting in the completion of various in-house carpentry projects as needed by Management.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs.
  • Willing to submit to background check, DMV check, and meet DOT physical requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record with no recent moving or driving violations and remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
  • Able to use basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or other calculations.
  • Able to read and navigate driving directions, safely maneuver vehicles in congested traffic, parking, and other complex situations safely and efficiently.
  • Balances quality and timeliness while carrying out shop assignments.
  • Able to load and unload heavy product (weighing up to 80-100lbs) to/from the vehicle while navigating various surfaces, inclines, steps, and stairs.
  • Ability to push and pull items weighing up to 100lbs with the assistance of a hand cart or material handling equipment, and occasionally maneuver over 100 lbs.
  • Able to bend and twist while loading and unloading materials.

Responsibilities

  • Package, load, and unload merchandise, supplies, materials, or completed projects safely and efficiently.
  • Operate company vehicles including the 26ft box truck in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain vehicles in a clean and orderly condition, conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; alert management of any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain and organize required paperwork, receipts, packing lists, invoices, and other documents according to internal processes and procedures.
  • Assist with on-site installations when necessary.
  • Inspect shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Assist other employees with packing, shipping, and receiving of goods and completed projects as required.
  • Interact in a professional manner with others, attempting to resolve concerns as they arise.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with OSHA industry standards and Company policies and procedures in order to ensure accuracy, avoid personal injury, and damage to company property.
