About The Position

Responsible for delivering high performance to drive productivity and cost efficiency. Manages a carrier base. While maintaining high activity levels and timely service calls. The role directly influences the brokerage’s ability to meet customer expectations, optimize transportation spend, and achieve annual operating goals. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, and customer service teams, and demands a high level of responsiveness, strategic thinking, and market insight. This role also serves as a key escalation point for carrier-related issues and is expected to provide support as needed to ensure seamless execution and service continuity.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of strategic freight carriers’ daily truck capacity and network capabilities.
  • Understand and align with customers’ supply chain operations, service requirements, and new initiatives to ensure a favorable.
  • Lead all aspects of carrier prospecting, onboarding, negotiations, and relationship management to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for carrier development issues, providing 24/7 accountability and support to ensure
  • Maintain consistent communication with carriers and internal teams via phone, including active participation in phone queues.
  • Support and enforce key brokerage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
  • Manage and mitigate carrier costs through both short-term and long-term contractual strategies.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours, holiday and weekend coverage, as required by business needs.
  • 100 Calls Per Day (Outbound & Inbound combined), 20 booked loads a day, Capacity entry 65 a day
