About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our Charlotte branch to support import and export operations, with a primary focus on import shipments. This role will act as an operator handling day-to-day logistics activities across air, ocean, trucking, and cross-border shipments. The ideal candidate has hands-on operational experience and can step into an active workload immediately.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of logistics operations experience, preferably with a strong emphasis on import shipments
  • Working knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, trucking, and cross-border logistics
  • Experience handling imports documentation and customs coordination
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in logistics systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in freight forwarding or 3PL environments
  • Familiarity with U.S. customs procedures and import regulations
  • Ability to step into an existing book of business with minimal training

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage import and export shipments, with a primary focus on import operations
  • Handle end-to-end shipment processing for air, ocean, and ground transportation
  • Manage cross-border shipments, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork
  • Communicate with carriers, agents, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely shipment movement
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues
  • Maintain accurate records in the TMS and internal systems
  • Provide shipment updates and customer service support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations
