Works with internal and external stakeholders on the development of new and optimization of existing automation and material handling/storage equipment to continuously improve material flow. Provides technical troubleshooting to logistics equipment as appropriate to ensure optimum operational performance. What you can look forward to as AME Engineer III: Leads projects to implement automation and material handling/storage equipment to improve material flow. Lead business cases for new technologies, cost estimates and project calculations. Contributes to the development of the material handling/storage equipment strategic roadmap. Leads the technical design for Logistics automation and other material handling/storage equipment. Contributes to vendors selection and leads the implementation of material handling automation equipment in the facility. Contacts potential suppliers and recommends the final technical decision. Troubleshoot hardware and/ or software issues on automation equipment. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, material flow/storage, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
