About The Position

A motivated, well-organized individual to support supply chain operations. Responsibilities to include receiving, outgoing shipment, dangerous good shipments, inventory counts, inventory transactions, delivering parts, out-going shipping request, picking up parts/running errands, and assisting with various duties throughout the company. We are looking for a self-starter that can complete tasks with minimal guidance and can work effectively without constant supervision. Additionally, someone who can handle their responsibilities independently and is "self-motivated"

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Two years of factory-related experience
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems
  • Must be familiar with shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Experience handling UPS, Fed-Ex and USPS shipments, both international and domestic.
  • Two years warehouse and inventory experience
  • Willingness and ability to drive a forklift and maintain certification.
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills a must to maintain a tidy and accessible inventory storage area.
  • Problem-Solving to resolve stock challenges, such as shortages or overstock situations, to maintain operational efficiency
  • Strong communication skills and a team player.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting
  • Maintain DOT and IATA certifications.
  • Professional manner with the ability to keep information confidential.
  • Wear appropriate PPE when necessary.
  • Multitasking and prioritizing
  • Motivated to learn and improve understanding of tasks and requirements needed.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the storing, receiving, and distribution of products and supplies. Ensure that stock levels are maintained accurately and efficiently. Track and manage inventory levels to ensure stock is maintained accurately and efficiently, while minimizing excess and shortages.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all orders are delivered correctly. Ensure traceability of all products from receiving, through quality, to production. Generates shipping documents including commercial invoices, BOL's, safety data sheets, airfreight declarations and any additional international required documents. May also process requisitions and deliver stock items to various departments.
  • Record Keeping: Responsible for tracking inventory levels. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including incoming and outgoing products, using inventory management software. Maintain important documentation related to inventory transactions and processes, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Audits and Reconciliation: Conduct regular stock audits identifying discrepancies and reporting them to management. Ability to reconcile the discrepancies in inventory records to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing to optimize inventory resources and ensure a smooth flow of goods throughout the supply chain. Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, production and sales, to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock management.
  • Training: Develop and write processes related to inventory, shipping and receiving. Educate staff on inventory procedures and best practices to ensure effective inventory management across the organization. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Coordination: Handles hazardous waste pickups for Safety Department. Collaborate with purchasing on expected deliveries. Liaise with building maintenance. Requires assembling new furniture.
