About The Position

Inside the Role Portland Truck Plant is redefining itself to become the Innovation Plant inside the DTNA network using the latest technology to support the introduction of the Electric Truck and new Vocational product lines. Play a valuable role in producing these premium products supervising a materials team in the Portland Truck Plant. This role will be responsible for leading material handler teams and supply chain initiatives that lead to improvement in expediting getting parts to the assembly line, enhancing processes and preventative solutions. What You Drive at DTNA Lead team comprising of team leaders and material handlers with the mission of delivering parts on time to production. Hold daily team board meetings to review safety, feedback, problem solving, cost, and delivery. Attend daily plant SFM meetings to gather feedback, report out on shortages, and verify recovery plans. Collaborate with production, quality, facilities, engineering, environmental, and plant management to problem solve and improve processes. Update metrics at Materials SFM. Utilize recovery reports to pro-actively resolve shortages, request parts from aftermarket, other plants, and/or suppliers. Reduce stock losses by uncovering root causes of losses. Allocate manpower each day, create assignments quickly assess any manpower changes needed. Improve processes, find efficiencies within your assigned Operating Unit. Provide feedback to employees on job performance when necessary. Coach and mentor team leaders, provide reviews, and develop pipeline of future team leaders/supervisors. Review line presentation methods and seek to improve them. Prepare for various audits and plant visits ensure organized and clean materials shopfloor. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college required
  • 4 years of relevant experience required
  • Previous demonstrated experience in problem solving
