About The Position

The Logistics & Warehouse Operations Specialist plays a critical role in controlling the flow, movement, and handling of hydraulic cylinders throughout the facility. This hybrid role is responsible for coordinating and executing warehouse activities including cylinder movement, staging, scanning, loading, unloading, and safe material handling. The position also provides operational flexibility by supporting deliveries as a backup CDL driver when additional driving capacity is needed. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical awareness, and a safety-first mindset. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, dependable, and comfortable working across warehouse, logistics, and transportation functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical awareness and comfort working around heavy industrial components.
  • Ability to safely lift, rig, and handle heavy components with proper equipment.
  • Forklift operation experience (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid CDL (Class A) with a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable using scan guns, tablets, or digital tracking systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work on the shop floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials using proper equipment and procedures.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support deliveries and workload demands.
  • Indoor and outdoor work conditions, including warehouse and driving environments.
  • 40 hours is the minimum expectation
  • This role requires flexibility to work approximately 45-55 hours during busy periods.
  • Overtime is workload-driven, not permanent.
  • Team members are expected to support each other when demand is high.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in warehouse logistics, material handling, or industrial operations.
  • Experience with rigging, strapping, and securing oversized or heavy loads.
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory tracking systems.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or repair operations.
  • Hydraulic, mechanical, or industrial service environment experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and control daily warehouse activity related to the movement, staging, and placement of hydraulic cylinders.
  • Use scan guns or digital systems to accurately track cylinder movement, locations, and status.
  • Coordinate the flow of torn-down, in-process, and completed cylinders to support production efficiency.
  • Maintain organized, clearly identified storage and staging areas.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cylinders from trucks and trailers.
  • Perform proper rigging, strapping, and securing of loads to ensure safe transport.
  • Inspect loads for stability, balance, and compliance with safety requirements.
  • Work closely with drivers, technicians, and supervisors to ensure efficient material flow.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
  • Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all forklift, rigging, and material-handling safety procedures.
  • Serve as a backup CDL driver when additional driving coverage is required.
  • Transport hydraulic cylinders and related materials to and from customer sites or partner facilities.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required driving documentation.
  • Represent the company professionally while on the road and at customer locations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and DOT requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement in warehouse flow, logistics processes, and safety practices.
  • Assist other departments as needed to support customer delivery commitments.
