About The Position

The Care Center Executive Director oversees the daily operations of Grand River Hospital District’s long-term care facility in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer. This role ensures high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities include leading and supporting Care Center staff; coordinating with nursing, rehabilitation, activities, dietary, and hospital departments to ensure seamless resident care; preparing for surveys, inspections, and audits; and addressing resident and family concerns. The Administrator also manages the facility budget, monitors revenue and expenses, and identifies opportunities to improve services and operations. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to stay current on healthcare trends and regulatory updates affecting long-term care. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or Business Administration preferred
  • Must possess Nursing Home Administrator’s license (NHA) or obtain within one year of hire and maintain throughout employment
  • 5 to 7 years working experience in a similar role in long-term care setting preferred
  • 3 years supervisory experience required
