About The Position
Norfolk Collegiate School seeks a Long-Term Math Substitute Teacher beginning in April 2026 through the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year. This position will teach five Math classes and advise a small group of students. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Math at the upper school level, demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills, and be committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment during this transitional period.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Math or a related field
- Experience teaching Math preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Flexibility and professionalism in a long-term substitute role
Responsibilities
- Teach five Math courses, including Algebra II, Honors Algebra II, and Introduction to Statistics
- Deliver instruction aligned with existing curriculum and course expectations
- Maintain continuity of instruction and classroom routines
- Assess student learning and provide timely feedback
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate clearly with students, families, and colleagues as needed
- Collaborate with the Math department to ensure smooth instructional continuity
