Leer South (Wolf Run Mining, LLC) is looking for a Longwall Operator to join our successful team in Philippi, West Virginia.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Minimum of three years of underground mining experience
Experience as a production operator in Longwall coal mining
WV underground certification required; or equivalent time to test for certification.
Must have experience navigating the above-mentioned longwall equipment through adverse geology conditions.
Must have experience maintaining the longwall face alignment and proper mining horizon.
Must be able to work as scheduled and assigned.
Must be able to work safely and effectively as a part of a team.
Must be able to perform heavy work as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles which may include but not limited to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, or pry.
Physical demands of the job are subject to change based on industry demands
Must be able to work on/near moving equipment as required by job.
Must be able to understand and grasp mining concepts and safety strategies.
Excellent interpersonal skills
