The Loss Prevention Impound Associate is responsible for researching, analyzing, and managing all activities related to impounded company vehicles across ABG Division. This role ensures timely recovery, accurate documentation, and full financial recoupment of impound-related expenses. The specialist serves as a key liaison between law enforcement agencies, impound vendors, field operations, and internal departments, while also supporting broader Loss Prevention functions as needed.

Requirements

• College Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong customer service and research skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• 4-5 years business, customer service or collections experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks during constantly fluctuating volumes.
• Analytical, researching, evaluating, and troubleshooting abilities
• A self-starter attitude and ability to prioritize daily workflow.
• Must be detailed oriented, organized and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external entities.
• Solid PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Teams), Wizard systems.
• With the ability to learn new systems, expertise not required but must be comfortable using technology and data tools.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years car rental security loss prevention experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and upload impound information into the Compass Workforce Management System and Allstate Omni portal with a high degree of accuracy
• Evaluate, obtain, and provide all required documentation to expedite the recovery of vehicles from impound lots.
• Process & place impounded vehicles on and off impound alert hold
• Researching & responding to inquiries from our vendor(s) in a timely manner
• Contact law enforcement agencies regarding Police holds and provide updates to area security managers and field operations.
• Review and work various exception reports
• Analyze and close rental contracts associated with impound events, ensuring all related charges are accurately applied and recovered
• Process incoming impound lien mail notifications and ensure timely entry into the appropriate systems
• Participate in cross-training within the Loss Prevention department and support additional functions as operational needs arise.
