About The Position

As an Overnight Loss Prevention Officer , you serve as the primary guardian of the resort during the late-night and early-morning hours. This role is critical in maintaining a peaceful, secure environment while the resort is at rest. Working from a central office and conducting active patrols, you will monitor the property for safety violations, unauthorized access, and potential hazards, ensuring the resort remains a safe haven for our guests and a secure workplace for our overnight staff.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Private Security License.
  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (CPR) and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred; ability to work independently during overnight hours is essential.
  • Driving: Must possess a valid, clear, and current Texas Driver’s License.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills for clear reporting and interaction with emergency services.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods and work outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Slip-resistant, closed-toe footwear is required.

Responsibilities

  • Overnight Vigilance: Conduct regular patrols of the 17,000-acre property to ensure all facilities are secure and to identify any potential safety or security breaches.
  • First Response: Act as the primary first responder for overnight medical emergencies; assess situations and render first aid or CPR. Coordinate with external Emergency Services (EMS/Police) when required.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate and document detailed reports for any incidents occurring during the shift, including security breaches, medical emergencies, or property damage.
  • Monitoring & Dispatch: Monitor surveillance systems and act as the central communication point for overnight resort operations.
  • Safety Inspections: Assist in conducting nocturnal safety audits and inspections to ensure all fire exits, lighting, and security hardware are functioning correctly.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage overnight key controls, process lost and found items, and perform light administrative tasks such as data entry and report filing.
