About The Position

As a Loss Prevention & Recovery Specialist I at Christian Community Credit Union , you will play a vital role in safeguarding our assets by expertly identifying, mitigating, and recovering loan losses. This position emphasizes proactive management of both delinquent and charged-off loan accounts, allowing you to implement effective strategies for loss prevention and recovery. Through repayment plans, settlements, and legal channels, you will pursue creative solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum three years of collections experience within a financial institution required
  • Loss mitigation or loan recovery experience within a financial institution required
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations pertaining to the area of collections required
  • Experience with skip tracing, repossession procedures and truth in lending required
  • Knowledge of word processing (Word required) and spreadsheets (Excel required)
  • In-depth understanding of Fair Collections Practices for consumer & commercial loans, secured/unsecured
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with ability to influence repayment outcomes
  • Must reside in AZ, CA, CO, ID, IL, KY, NC, TN, TX, or WI, and be able to work remotely Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm PST (flexible 40 hours per week).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with legal actions, bankruptcy proceedings, small claims, and foreclosure process preferred
