About The Position

To assist the Director of Security and deliver the highest standard of care possible to all guests, associates, and invitees. To act as a liaison between the Loss Prevention staff and the Dir. of Security. To coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of security services during each shift worked. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Patrol all areas of the property noting any breaches in security, unsafe conditions, and suspicious activity. Document all findings and begin immediate corrective action. Ensure the required department forms are utilized to document loss prevention efforts, hazards, reports of incidents and accidents. Ensure all violations of property policy is reported immediately to department heads and the director of human resources Use proper radio procedures in compliance with FCC and property guidelines Be thoroughly familiar with the key system. Ensure key control policy is adhered to at all times. Cancel out any lost Master keys as soon as a Master is discovered to be lost. Ensure shipping and receiving procedures are followed. Ensure Associate entrance and exit policy is followed. Be familiar with all loss prevention operating policies and ensure they are enforced. Be familiar with all emergency procedures. Maintain current certification in CPR and 1st Aid. Ensure each guest floor is patrolled by each officer at least once during a shift. Ensure the property lobby has constant coverage. Ensure all shift checklists are completed. Review all incident reports prior to submitting. Make all necessary additions and or corrections of incident reports prior to submitting. Other duties as assigned by management. Follow all Security Department standards including being relieved by the following shift officer(s) before clocking out. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions. Conduct Fire Extinguisher Audits as directed. Conduct Chemical Inventories and maintain MSDS information as directed. Conduct locker inspections as directed. Conduct key audits as directed. Conduct loss prevention awareness training as directed. Conduct new-hire orientation class training as directed.

Requirements

  • Must possess professional integrity and dedication.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to take necessary initiative for the resolution of problems.
  • Good public relations skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, sound decisions.
  • Ability to obtain a St. Louis security license.
  • Working knowledge of state criminal code.
  • Prior security experience required.
