At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale. The Role The Low Voltage Electrical Energy Management Systems Engineer helps define and optimize how low‑voltage (12 V & LV) electrical power is used in our vehicles. In this role, you will blend systems engineering, data analysis, and testing to understand 12 V loads, support energy and performance targets (range, emissions, robustness), and improve tools and methods used across multiple vehicle programs. You will be a key technical contributor in a small, focused team that uses virtual models, standardized databases, and measured data as primary decision tools. The work is highly interdisciplinary, connecting electrical, thermal, controls, and vehicle performance perspectives to deliver low‑voltage insights that guide content, feature behavior, and system sizing.
