About The Position

Position Summary: Supervise the planning, installation, and completion of Low Voltage electrical systems in new or existing construction, ensuring that thee National Electrical Code and all other applicable standards and specifications are followed. Supervise Low Voltage Technicians, interpret blueprints, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate with other trades, ensure compliance with codes, and troubleshoot problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Overseeing and managing all aspects of Low Voltage projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to industry standards. Demonstrate safe work habits, comply with company safety requirements Experienced in all aspects of fiber optic cabling. Demonstrate safe work habits, comply with company safety requirements Understand the Industry and the Standards involved Install and terminate CAT cable Install and terminate fiber optic cable Conduct Service Calls and oversee Projects as needed/necessary Test both copper and fiber cables Read blueprints - apply specifications Feel comfortable with Microsoft Office computer platforms BICSI Certified a plus Self driven - able to work with limited supervision Moves/handles various equipment and spools of wire Proper care for material, tools and equipment Assist electricians by performing various tasks Operates power tools such as drills, saws, pullers, tuggers, etc Requires knowledge of process, procedures, and methods Requires the use of common courtesy in everyday contacts with employees, clients, and the general public Required to carry a pager or cell phone and be on-call when necessary Night/weekend work as required Work as required in varying weather climates The ability to travel out of town and stay overnight as required Proper care for material, tools and equipment. Assist electricians by performing various tasks. Operates power tools such as drills, saws, pullers, tuggers, etc Requires knowledge of process, procedures, and methods Requires the use of common courtesy in everyday contacts with employees, clients, and the general public Night/weekend work as required Work as required in varying weather climates The ability to travel out of town and stay overnight as required Physical Requirements: Able to physically lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds, unassisted, frequently throughout the day (physical work is more than 70% of the job) Ability to safely climb up and down ladders Ability to work alone once instructions have been given Able to complete a full day’s assignments involving one or more of the following: bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching over head, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and any other safety related equipment Able to wear personal tool belt at all times on the jobsite Able to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms and areas Able to work in and around restricted/confined spaces such as; manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, clean rooms, and raised metal floors Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, indoor or outdoor, including heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and snow depending on job location Specific vision abilities required Able to work a 40 hour work week, with overtime and off-hour shifts as required Education/Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and any other safety related equipment
  • Able to wear personal tool belt at all times on the jobsite

  • Able to work in and around restricted/confined spaces such as; manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, clean rooms, and raised metal floors
