About The Position

525 Technologies is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician I to support the installation, testing, and servicing of low voltage systems in commercial environments. This entry-level to early-career role is ideal for a technician who is developing hands-on skills, demonstrates strong work ethic, and is committed to quality, safety, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of low voltage cabling systems and installation practices.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and complete work orders accurately.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as required.
  • Ability to work independently with supervision as experience grows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial low voltage or structured cabling environments.
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure.
  • Experience with access control, CCTV, or security systems.
  • Ability to conduct a walkthrough for projects in an existing building or new facility

Responsibilities

  • Install, route, and secure low voltage cabling including twisted pair, coaxial, and related infrastructure.
  • Install cable pathway systems such as J-hooks, D-rings, cable trays, and ladder racks.
  • Terminate, test, label, and document horizontal and backbone cabling in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist with build-out of telecommunications rooms, equipment rooms, and work areas.
  • Install and support low voltage devices including access control, cameras, audio/visual components, and related hardware.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and report issues to lead technicians or supervisors.
  • Accurately complete required field documentation, time tracking, and material usage reports.
  • Follow job specifications, drawings, and verbal instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct when interacting with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Adhere to all 525 Technologies Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
