Our teams of site specialists, expert masons, and experienced horticulture crews work with our managers and estimators to deliver amazing projects. The Landscape Lighting Technician plays a critical role in the successful execution of landscape lighting repairs and additions to existing low voltage lighting systems. This position is responsible for completing daily assigned tasks with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety where communication and problem-solving in real time are a necessity. Ideal candidates will have hands-on low voltage landscape lighting or electrical experience, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to time and resource management. This is a hands-on, field-based position requiring physical work, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience within the low voltage landscape lighting or electrical fields.
  • Educational experience in the low voltage landscape lighting or electrical fields can be supplemented for industry experience.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Team player with positive attitude and proven ability to work hard in a fast-paced environment.
  • Urgency to grow and improve.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, problem solver.
  • Physical agility required to access all areas of properties and landscape sites, assist in manual labor, and lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Performance of low voltage landscape lighting system auditing, fixture focusing, troubleshooting, repairing, and adding additional fixtures or scenes to pre-existing systems, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site.
  • Ability to work with home automation systems, such as Lutron systems, to turn on and off lighting zones and adjust programming as necessary.
  • Accurately record labor hours and materials used for each job, maintaining clear and organized documentation for project tracking and billing purposes.
  • Utilize strong time management skills to follow and adjust daily schedules as needed to meet project deadlines and productivity goals.
  • Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with your Field Production Manager to receive instructions, provide updates, and coordinate daily tasks.
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds company quality standards and adheres to industry’s best practices.
