About The Position

Dedicated, self-motivated, part-time Instructional Assistant needed at IC Imagine Charter School in Asheville. Modified, year-round school schedule, working about 30 hours per week, does not include benefits. Salary based on IC Imagine’s Salary Schedule . Duties and Resposibilities: Must maintain positive communication with students and teachers Work cohesively in a team setting Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff Utilize a positive reinforcement behavioral system Support grade level teams by carrying out clerical tasks. Assist teachers in organization of materials and classrooms. Carry out small groups as needed for grade level teams/ classroom teachers. Communicate with teachers about grade level and classroom needs. Support in classrooms during instruction, as needed, to help students stay engaged and on task. Independently executing said activities. Follow the processes laid out in the employee handbook, respond to emails in a timely manner, and ensure timely feedback is given Assist in arrival and/or dismissal, as needed. Provide coverage for K-5 classrooms, as needed. Provide lunch coverage for 2 classrooms daily. Provide recess supervision, as needed. Other duties may be assigned.
