About The Position

The Out-of-Door Academy seeks a Lower School Part-Time Music Educator to join our Clark Road Campus and contribute to a forward-thinking school dedicated to creativity, real-world application, and student-centered learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in music education or performance required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience teaching general music education, ideally in an independent school setting.
• Strong organization and classroom management skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and the Google drive platform.
• A successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents.

Nice To Haves

• Orff, Musikgarten, or Lower School Music Certification (F1 K-1) preferred.
• Passion for learning and the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate general music curriculum for Prekindergarten through third grade.
• Lead, direct, and prepare students for performance throughout the year.
• Foster a love of music through singing, movement, rhythm, and instrumental instruction.
• Prepare students to perform in concerts and other events.
• Collaborate with the Out-of-Door music department across the three campuses.
• Organize and direct school concerts, performances, and community engagement opportunities.
• Be an active member of the Florida Music Educators Association.
