We are seeking an LPN Dispensing Nurse to join our Riverview Recovery Wellness Program in Philadelphia, Pa. This posting is Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00a - 3:30p. Earn $31.98/hr.! Help shape the future of recovery services in this transformative and rewarding role! Position Details: The LPN will administer medication and therapeutic treatments per the physician's orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
- Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA
- 1 year of nursing experience is required
- Experience with drawing labs, performing EKGs, wound care, and triage is required.
- Minimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependence
- Current CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience with chemically dependent populations preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines
- Ensure adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction
- Ensure that the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed
- Assess client response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions
- Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor’s orders, etc., as required
- Monitor tuberculosis, HIV, and Hep C testing for all patients, assisting with outside referrals when necessary
- Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications)
