The Float Pool provides a unique experience for caregivers to care for diverse populations of patients in many units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers. As an LPN on the team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days varying from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide professional nursing care to patients. Administer medication. Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files. Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions. Implement pain management assessments and documentation. Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO. Follow Code Blue protocol.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program
• Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• One year of clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.

• This position requires knowledge of all aspects of patient care including assessing; planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the patients progress through the entire continuum of car in conjunction with the R.N. or physician.
