About The Position
A reputable acute care hospital in Auburn, NY is seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN – Med/Surg Tele Float for a 13-week contract assignment. The LPN/LVN will provide direct patient care within the Med/Surg Telemetry unit and float as needed, supporting the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care during night shifts.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- Active New York LPN/LVN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical skills in Med/Surg and telemetry patient care
- Ability to work 48 hours per week on night shifts
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
- Assist RNs and physicians in delivering quality patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as permitted under scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
- Float to similar units as required based on staffing needs
