About The Position

River’s Bend is seeking a Part-Time LPN or Medical Assistant to join our team of innovative professionals located in both Troy and West Bloomfield, Michigan. Mid-level and Experienced level LPN or Medical Assistants are encouraged to apply and join our growing team. In this collaborative environment, you will be responsible for supporting the Physician in triaging medication questions from clients, increasing client understanding of prescribed medications, and recording patient vitals as indicated for program requirements. Administrative support and mentoring are available, along with any necessary supervision. River’s Bend provides outpatient therapy with integrity and excellent client care. We are a growing Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use therapy practice which provides the most innovative, evidence-based outpatient behavioral healthcare to all our clients and their families. Our clinical team provides professional, comprehensive, state-of-the-art mental health and chemical dependency treatment in a respectful and dignified manner. Our clients and their families are our partners in maximizing overall well-being. We have been awarded Blue Distinction with Blue Cross Blue Shield and maintain behavioral health Joint Commission accreditation. We have an integrated electronic health record system that supports all of our clinical services and offer a hybrid model for outpatient therapy.

Requirements

  • LPN license or MA Certification
  • At least 1 Year of Experience
  • Mid-Level or Experienced

  • Experience working with and assisting psychiatrists and psychiatric NP's and Physicians
  • Must possess ability to utilize electronic health record system, Zoom and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Answer questions for clients regarding medications and treatment recommendations
  • Observing patients to assess overall wellness, address basic needs and report concerns to Physician
  • Reach out to prescribers when more information is needed and to coordinate prescribers calling clients when needed
  • Secure authorization for medications if needed and required by insurance companies
  • Perform and collect medical vitals as required by program for appropriateness for level of care
  • Provide clinical documentation in EHR upon client discharge
  • Employ strong communication skills with clinical staff and client phone calls/follow up
  • Work collaboratively as a team and with clinical staff and Medical Director
  • Proficient with technology to include EMR, Microsoft Office, and other applicable software
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and motivated.
