About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to perform all maintenance and inspections on construction and concrete equipment engines and drive trains. Maintenance is to be performed as defined by each manufacture's recommended schedule. Dispose of waste oils, fluids and filters in accordance to State and Company regulations. Assists senior level PM Technicians wherever required and observe closely to gain knowledge. The incumbent must have the ability and flexibility to work varying shifts and long hours (8-12 hours). Weekend work and extra hours occur according to production needs and at the discretion of the Supervisor. The incumbent must support the guiding beliefs and core values of the Company, which are centered on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and teamwork (each of equal weight and importance) but, most importantly, with each built upon the all-important foundation of Integrity.

Requirements

  • A minimum of (1) year related mechanic experience is required.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • The incumbent should have extensive knowledge of gas, diesel and electric driven engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical schematics.
  • Additionally, qualified candidates will need a high level of analytical ability for project efficiency.
  • Driver License with Clean Driving Record is required.
  • Ability to drive to jobsites daily.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others and willing to share skill set and knowledge as appropriate.
  • Ability to work in uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions.

  • Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance on construction equipment.
  • Assumes responsibility for service reports, timecards, and other paperwork in a legible, understandable manner.
  • Ensures completion of all jobs in a proficient and safe manner.
  • Ensures work area to be cleaned after each use.
  • Works well with others in high stress situations.
  • Wears proper PPE at all times.
  • All employees, current and former, must maintain confidentiality by not disclosing to others any confidential, proprietary or trade secret information belonging to the Company.
  • Responsible and accountable for incumbent’s own personal safety.
  • Responsible and accountable for the safety of all co-workers and any others incumbent encounters.
  • Authorized and obligated to stop work on any task or series of tasks whenever an unsafe condition or situation is anticipated or is observed.
  • Complies with all applicable laws, regulations and Company policies and procedures, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so.
  • Reports all violations of applicable laws, regulations or Company policies and procedures promptly, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so.
  • Performs other related administrative and technical duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision (such as certification training, safety training, procedure review, etc.).
