TriVector Services, Inc., is seeking qualified candidates to fill our Lunar Architecture Team Systems Engineer position. This posting is for a Systems Engineer position to support NASA’s Human Exploration and Development and Operations (HEDO) Office at Marshall Space Flight Center. This position directly supports the Lunar Architecture Team (LAT) and focuses on high-level trades and assessments, modeling development, functional and logical architecture assessments with gap identification, and cross-discipline coordination for human rate exploration systems. The selected candidate will serve as a key integrator across engineering disciplines, contractors, and NASA stakeholders, ensuring technical alignment, clear communication and lifecycle readiness of Habitation Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of 5 years of direct engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or complex system development environments or MS degree and 3 years of direct engineering experience or PHD. and 1 year of direct engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting systems engineering activities including requirements development, integration, verification planning, or technical analysis.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to independently organize, synthesize, and present complex technical information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including development of technical briefings and reports.
  • Ability to lead or facilitate technical discussions in both virtual and in-person environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting human-rated aerospace development programs.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft, launch vehicle, or large-scale systems integration programs.
  • Experience developing space systems requirements documents including functional requirements and verification criteria.
  • Experience supporting design/requirements analysis cycles (RACs/DACs) and major milestone reviews.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings, system interfaces, and space hardware development practices.
  • Ability to conduct first-order engineering analyses and technical trade studies.
  • Exposure to MBSE development, modeling, simulation, or analysis tools.
  • Experience supporting risk management and lifecycle phase product development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, perform, and review system-level analyses that influence the overall architecture, design, and performance of space systems.
  • Develop and provide value-added input to requirements specifications, Concept of Operations (ConOps), interface control documents, verification documentation, analyses, and technical presentations.
  • Develop and understand system requirements, including validation and verification success criteria, and support traceability and compliance tracking.
  • Support system-level integration activities associated with design, development, test, qualification, and acceptance of Habitation Systems.
  • Review and analyze requirements and verification documentation for completeness, maturity, feasibility, and implementation readiness.
  • Develop and maintain Verification & Validation (V&V) documentation and support verification compliance tracking and closure.
  • Compile, manage, and analyze quantitative and qualitative technical data to support trade studies, assessments, and program decisions.
  • Develop integrated schematics and system interaction diagrams to describe subsystem interfaces and functional relationships.
  • Provide written and oral status updates in the form of technical briefings and reports.
  • Lead or support technical meetings by developing agendas, capturing minutes and actions, and driving issues toward resolution.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams including systems engineering, safety, human factors, hardware development, and contractor organizations.
  • Review contractor deliverables and provide technically sound feedback.
  • Support risk identification and mitigation activities and participate in milestone reviews.
  • Perform other duties as required in support of Habitation Systems development and integration.
