About The Position

Hinds LifeCare, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Pediatrics to join our team. As a member of the interdisciplinary team the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Pediatrics under the direction and supervision of the Pediatric Clinical Nurse Manager or a registered nurse, provides direct patient care to patients in their home as needed. Requirements

  • Completion of a Licensed Vocational Nursing Education Program
  • Possess license to practice as Licensed vocational nurse in the State of California, prefer Public Health Nursing Certificate issued by the State of California.
  • Two plus years experience in Pediatric acute care facility, or community health agency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with health team personnel
  • Maintain work behavior that invites trust and reliance; role model positive attendance and punctuality standards; ensure work responsibilities are completed correctly and timely and are covered when absent; arrive at meetings and appointments prepared and on time.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data and inspire others.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation and a willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care to patients in their home as needed.
