About The Position

The MA Therapist - Licensed at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality mental health therapy services to clients. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health disorders, promoting mental well-being, and supporting clients in achieving their personal goals through therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, providing therapeutic services to individuals, families, or groups.
Proven experience in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to client needs.
Experience in crisis intervention and management, with a demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Proficient in maintaining detailed and accurate client records in compliance with confidentiality regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse client needs.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in mental health therapy.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Collaborate with clients to set therapeutic goals and monitor progress towards achieving these goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated care for clients.
Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources to support recovery and well-being.
Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements in the practice of therapy, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Stay informed about current trends and advancements in the field of mental health therapy to continually improve service delivery.
