About The Position

While reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, the following job description outlines the essential functions of each level of role within the Machinery department. The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee in each of these roles is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following. What You’ll Be Doing: Demonstrate strong mechanical skills to assemble machinery, sub-assemblies, and different components as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Perform adjustments and troubleshooting throughout the building and testing process General proficiency with electrical and pneumatics, as well their use in control and power applications related to machinery Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics Working knowledge of PLC’s for wiring and installation Quality inspections using various measuring instruments such as a tape measure, calipers, etc. Ability to interact in a professional manner with fellow employees Ability to assemble 1-2 types of machines without mistakes within the allotted amount of time Our Thermoformed and Flexible Packaging business serves North America, Latin America and Europe with 22 locations. Requirements

  • High School or equivalent, vocational or journeyman+ preferred
  • Ability to read/write and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, sketches, and work orders
  • Basic computer experiences with file processing, email, Web navigation, and MS office
  • Must have a working knowledge of shop math and general hand tools, manufacturing experience preferred
  • Perform all tasks in a safety-conscious manner
  • Healthy attitude to work within a team environment
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • Forklift
