About The Position

Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for a Cutting Operator for our Camarillo location. Will set up and operate the Lazer Trim cutter and PK-C100 guillotine cutting machine, provide support in lamination process and the MTI saw cutting machine until equipment it is removed. JTI has over thirty years' experience specializing in the design, manufacture and sales of high-quality Power and RF ceramic chip capacitors, inductors, and Integrated Passive Components into the global electronics market. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some Microscope experience
  • At least six (6) months in a manufacturing environment
  • At least six (6) months experience in machine set-up
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good math skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assemble arbor for saw cutting or guillotine cut
  • Operate cutting machines and ensure that cuts are on correct specifications.
  • Adjust settings on machine when needed and record output of machine
  • When using trimmer set-up by using a computer and programming the computer.
  • Perform first article inspections using microscopes and/or comparator.
  • Monitor the condition of the cutting blades during the cutting process.
  • Inspect and check for correct dimensions must check all plates per lot. Communicate with leadership or quality team if issues arise or dimensions not in spec.
  • Removed material from plates and prepare to move to next process.
  • Plate Cleaning; Ensures carrier plates are free of debris and material (Will use hand tools to remove debris stuck on plate), hand clean plates using alcohol, acetone, and/or other solvents (must wear proper PPE), inspect plates for damage and cleanliness before submitting to the screening department.
  • Supports Lamination area - Read travelers, bag plates according to procedure and seal in vacuum baggers. Load the isostatic press accordingly, run the required cycles, and unload the machines.
  • Data Entry: checks and enters data into the database and/or logs for process traceability, transfers finished product to the next department.
