About The Position

Position Responsibilities Supports the direction set forth by the shift supervisor. Performs repetitive production and packing operations to mass process products such as plastic bottles. Employee works from production schedule located within the work area. Monitors flow of product into processing machinery. Tends machines, such as Huskys. Works at different work stations as production needs require. Works on lines where tasks vary, as product of various shapes and sizes move along lines. Check finished product for possible defects. Wears all required personal protective equipment. Assures and participates in all plant safety/accident prevention policies. This includes maintaining a safe work environment and follows safe work practices Maintains housekeeping of work areas. Any other tasks that may be assigned. Position Requirements High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination. Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and difference between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Must be able to manipulate with both hands, about and below shoulder height. Able to stand on solid surface for a minimum of 12 hours. Able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders. Able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. The employee must be able to demonstrate repetitive motion with a pallet jack and push/pull up to seven hundred (700) pounds throughout the day (12 hour shift) Specific vision abilities required by this position include close visual inspection of product. Able to perform job functions in temperatures of one hundred degrees plus during summer months and fifty degrees during winter months.
