You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This role will operate a 150 Watt Kern Laser at max efficiency in a fast-paced, changing environment. Shift available: Wednesday through Friday 5:45 am - 6:15 pm (Three 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule every 4 months.)

Requirements

  • read and understand blueprints
  • have basic computer and math skills
  • be able to lift up to 30 pounds multiple times a day
  • be able to perform long hours of work while standing at the machine
  • able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization
  • willing to admit when you make a mistake (it happens to the best of us)

  • trustworthy, reliable, and easy to get along with

  • a High School diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • a two-year degree or certification, or equivalent CNC work experience
  • experience as a Laser Operator
  • CorelDraw x7 experience
  • forklift experience

Responsibilities

  • effectively program and operate Kern HSE 150 Watt laser.
  • maintain specifications by observing, taking measurements and detecting malfunctions.
  • meet production goals in terms of cut times, quantities and quality.
  • perform daily and monthly maintenance on laser.
  • troubleshoot problems on laser if need be.
  • follow fab quality process and all associated paperwork.
  • keep area clean and free of clutter and maintain safe work environment.
  • perform other duties and tasks as requested by management.
