We are looking for a Machine Operator for our Slitting Department in Lenexa.
This is an 8-hour 3rd shift position, Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Requirements

• Must have the ability to read a tape measure.
• Must have basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have previous machine experience in a production environment.
• Must follow written Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), follow Safe Quality Food (SQF) programs applicable to the position, and perform various cleaning and inspection duties to maintain SQF and food safety compliance as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads rolls and core to and from the machine with the assistance of an electronic cart and roll manipulator.
• Checks for product quality and removes any of poor-quality film.
• Operates slitter machine and ensures quality.
• Once unloaded, bag finished rolls of film and load onto pallet per SQF procedures.
• Read spec sheet and design in order to appropriately slit film.
• Adjusts the tension as needed to prevent wrinkles in the film.
• Laser and material set up based on spec sheet if necessary.
