Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (Specialty) - 3rd Shift to join our team in Middlesex, NC! The core hours are 11 pm - 7:30 am. The hourly rate for this position is $21.47 per hour + $0.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do: The Machine Operatory (Specialty) is responsible for setting up and operating wire-winders, yarn winders and braiders to provide a braid on the Teflon hoses. They are primarily working with Aerospace product. Home Job Areas: • Braiders 21, 22 and 23 • Wire Winder 3 and 6 • Herzog Yarn Winder In this role, you will: Move materials and carriers based on work order and set up sheets to work station Set up braider: string up carriers, loading carriers onto braiders, pull wire from carrier to hook, feed hose into the braider, set up layline printer Operate maintain ultrasonic cleaner Complete quality checks on braided hose, this includes pick counts, outer diameter and inner diameter checks and lay line verification Place braided hose in crats Strip and set-up winders, be able to perform daily maintenance on wire winder which includes tension checks, roller checks and break pad changes etc. Operate oven to bake wire Proof test samples of finished hose Move wire or yarn from storage to work area based on router and work order Use over head hoist to lift spools of wire onto wire winders Pull catenary to ensure wire meets specified quality standards Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area. Produce a quality product, safely, on-time, and with the least cost possible. Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings. Accurately record data on process travelers. Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.). Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, CI events, etc. Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts. Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Leadership Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
