About The Position

Under general supervision, operates CNC machinery to fabricate parts.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to multitask.
• Keen eye for detail and basic mechanical aptitude to ensure precision in operations.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read blueprints and measure parts using gauges and micrometers is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify issues during machine operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Follow documented loading instructions to ensure safe and proper loading and unloading of castings using a lifting device such as an overhead hoist or by hand depending on part size and weight.
• Responsible for meeting standard production timeframes established for setup and cycle times.
• Responsible for minor machine offsets and tool changes.
• Perform daily maintenance on the machinery, including lubrication, fluid checks, chip handling, and scrap removal.
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues as they arise.
• Performs some follow-up operations, such as deburring, polishing, grinding, and prepping the part for shipping. This may include sending the part through the wash tank.
• Uses gauges and measuring instruments to ensure product is produced within tolerance requirements.
• Occasional use of manual or electric pallet jack.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operations and QA inspection results.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
