About The Position

The duties of the Production Machine Operator include but are not limited to operating high-speed machines, handling of sharps blades, changing of blades, cleaning machines on product change over.

Requirements

• This position requires 1 year of experience with a vertical form fill bagging machine.
• This position requires 1-3 years of general work experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• High school Diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Prior production/manufacturing machine operation experience preferred
• Previous experience within a high-speed industrial environment preferred
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment is necessary
• Knowledge of industrial technology is a plus
• Understanding of the English language
• Need basic math skills and reading comprehension

Responsibilities

• Setting up machines with proper blades for specific cuts and products
• Feed product
• Clean machines
• Change blades
• Grease machines
• Comply with the attached critical settings on the machine settings
• Responsible for the proper product cut, setting up/cleaning the machine
• Keeping production supplies
• Proper handling/storage of blades
• Follows all safety policies/procedures, particularly lockout/tagout procedures
• Follows attendance policy and other company policies/procedures
