Requirements

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be able to lift 30 – 35 pounds above the head frequently, 35 – 45 pounds occasionally.
  • High school graduate or equivalent GED, and a demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions in English.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner (this includes wearing eye and hearing protection in designated areas).
  • Perform housekeeping duties such as keeping floor clear of debris (scraps, blobs, and excess flash), cleaning machines in accordance with Third Party regulations.
  • Learn how to start and stop equipment in a proper and safe manner.
  • Learn the Q.C procedures outlined for this position.
  • Learn how to properly clear equipment of bottles/boxes that have become jammed within the equipment.
  • Assist in making minor mechanical adjustments to all equipment.
  • Help clean head tooling knife blades (if applicable) and molds with the proper equipment and materials.
  • Help perform quality checks and record pertinent information on bottles and finished goods.
  • Help maintain proper paperwork, logs and records (work orders, machine problems, settings, and changes) as required.
  • Help ensure that proper levels of materials are being introduced to the equipment.
  • Help troubleshoot equipment problems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics).
  • Help grind all out of spec containers.
  • Help ensure that regrind is properly packaged, identified, and stored.
  • May be asked to assist in the set-ups/changeovers as required on equipment.
  • Assist co-workers where needed.
