Job Summary: ND Sheets is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to oversee sheeter operations within our converting facility. This role is responsible for loading jumbo rolls, adjusting operational parameters, performing knife changes, conducting daily maintenance, and managing spare parts inventory to ensure smooth and efficient production. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. This position is a swing shift - 12-hour shifts – 4 days on 4 days off, located in Langhorne, PA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience operating sheeter machinery or similar converting equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret production work orders and machine settings.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor sheeter machinery to ensure proper cutting, slitting, and sheet conversion according to production specifications.
  • Safely load and unload jumbo rolls onto the sheeter machine, ensuring proper alignment and tension control.
  • Fine-tune machine settings to optimize performance, minimize waste, and maintain high-quality output.
  • Perform blade replacements and adjustments as needed, ensuring precision and efficiency in cutting operations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, lubrication, and inspections to keep equipment in peak operating condition.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of critical spare parts, ensuring timely availability to prevent downtime.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical and operational issues to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity.
  • Monitor finished sheets for accuracy, defects, and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper lockout/tagout procedures and PPE usage.
