Packaging Machine Operator Schedule Thursday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Saturday–Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM Compensation Base Pay: $22.95/hour Shift Differential: $1.75/hour Bonus Eligible
Requirements
- Able to communicate, read, and write in English.
- Demonstrates teamwork and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to take and follow directions.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Maintains a good safety record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Operates at least one major piece of equipment on any of the packaging lines.
- Conducts minor Preventive Maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and adjustments).
- Assists Mechanics/Line Technicians with performing Planned Maintenance.
- Performs all daily basic safety checks and observations, quality checks, checklists, and housekeeping.
- Clears equipment jams.
- Ensures compliance with the recycling process for empty component boxes.
- Utilizes computer interface panels to operate the equipment.
- Maintains equipment and performs full changeovers, washouts, and sanitizations.
- Adheres to SOP and GMP requirements.
- Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and follows all safety procedures per the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Reports safety hazards, quality issues, and production concerns to supervision immediately.
- Participates in all job‑related safety, quality, and equipment training.
- Complies with all Church & Dwight Co., Inc. policies, procedures, and NJ laws.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Trains other operators as required.
