About The Position

This employee is responsible for machine adjustments and is able to troubleshoot the problem before the maintenance team is called. The optimal candidate will need to have at least 2 years of experience working on a packaging machine within a food manufacturing facility or comparable environment.

Requirements

Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude
Bring your own tools and the ability to use them
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift to 50 lbs
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Available Monday – Friday, 5 am-7 PM if needed.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing facility or a comparable environment.
Strong communication skills for clear interactions with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Reliability

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor packaging machines for sweetener products
Set up equipment and assist with product changeovers
Perform routine quality checks (weights, seals, packaging integrity)
Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
Maintain production efficiency and safety standards
Complete required production documentation
Follow GMP, SQF, and company safety procedures
Lead a team
Demonstrated ability to make minor machine adjustments, optimizing packaging operations.
Proficient in troubleshooting machine issues before resorting to maintenance team support.
Solid understanding and experience with packaging machines, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
High attention to detail, crucial for identifying machine issues, ensuring accurate adjustments, and maintaining high operational standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills, enabling quick identification and resolution of machinery issues.
Capable of working independently, taking initiative and responsibility for machine operations and minor maintenance tasks.
Familiarity with basic maintenance tasks, contributing to the overall upkeep of machinery.
Dependable and consistent, demonstrating a strong commitment to job responsibilities and production schedules.
