Join us for an exciting summer!  We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Process Engineering team as a Machine Risk Analysis intern.   As a Process Engineer Intern, you will be exposed to hands-on data collection, system analysis, and risk assessment initiatives that support manufacturing continuity and production reliability. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering teams to address real-world challenges related to technology obsolescence within automated manufacturing systems.   In this role, you will support the Engineering team by gathering and documenting automation component data across assembly equipment, including PLCs, controllers, and network components. You will help build and maintain a centralized SharePoint-based database and collaborate with the team to analyze the data to identify obsolescence risks, support informed decision-making and proactive production planning.

Requirements

  • Academic Year: Sophomore, Junior
  • Area of Study: Computer Science, Engineering
  • Software Experience: SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Engineering team to identify and document automation components for assembly machines
  • Log component data into a centralized SharePoint database
  • Support the development of a structured system to track component obsolescence and associated risk
  • Assist with data analysis to help assess replacement challenges and potential production impacts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of collected data
  • Contribute to efforts that support reduced downtime and improved production continuity
