About The Position
IMS is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee daily machining operations and lead a team of machinists in the production of custom components and equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards while meeting production schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge, leadership experience, and hands-on familiarity with Haas, Doosan, and Mazak CNC machines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of machining experience, preferably in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a machine shop
- Strong working knowledge of Haas, Doosan, and Mazak CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Experience with machining large or custom components preferred
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the machine shop and support machinists and operators
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize machining jobs to meet production deadlines
- Ensure quality standards and specifications are met for all machined components
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support on CNC machining operations
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment and enforce shop safety standards
- Train, mentor, and develop machinists and shop personnel
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency
- Monitor productivity and recommend improvements to machining processes and workflows
