Job duties include working under the direction of experienced Machining associates to learn the skills necessary to perform the tasks required to perform all duties associated with the Operator/Setter position. Successfully complete in-house training program including Blueprint Reading. May be required to work on any shift in order to receive the optimum training and experience required of the trade. Assist Machining operators while developing necessary skills to operate and maintain equipment as described in the Machining Operator/Setter Progression process. Perform preventative maintenance on assigned machines. Ensure that procedures relating to job safety and process control are followed. Assist operators and setter in stocking machines and quality checks. Perform filter changes, machine cleanout and chip/scrap processing as required. Responsible for quality and quantity of work assignment. Responsible for a neat and orderly work area. Increasing responsibilities including training responsibilities with experience.
