About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in operating various machining tools and equipment. This role involves fabricating precision parts and components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machine operation is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining.
Proficiency in tooling techniques and the operation of milling machines and lathes.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

Operate manual milling machines, lathes, and other machining tools to produce precision parts.
Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to fabricate components accurately.
Utilize micrometers and calipers for quality control checks.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, equipment, or production processes to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, output, and any issues encountered.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in the production process.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
