  • Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to the design and/or development of product concepts, components, or assemblies per the requirements of the Customer Specifications and Design / Performance Requirements.
  • Responsible for process, material and product development targeted toward development and launch of new product programs for Magna Exteriors.
  • Support current production programs with Customer Driven VA/VE investigations and local support with Manufacturing Lead CI events, as requested.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering Curriculum or Technical Field.
  • 1 - 3 Years of experience.
  • Proven Skills in Microsoft Project, EXCEL, Power Point, Word, etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, during peak launch cycle.
  • Willing and physically capable of working in the manufacturing environment, 'on the floor' for extended periods as necessary.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Limited / Developing experience with Direct Customer / Supplier.
  • Limited / Developing experience with New Product Launch.
  • Limited / Developing experience with Gated Launch.
  • Limited / Developing experience with Automotive OEM.
  • Limited / Developing experience with Negotiation and Public Speaking.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) - ASME Certification.
  • Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) Certification.
  • Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Product Engineering Tools and Methods Certificate.
  • Six Sigma Belt Certificate.
  • Computer Aided Design Knowledge (CAD).
