About the position

The position is only open to work in Columbus, GA office. Candidates must live locally to the Columbus, GA area and will work a Hybrid work model of 2-3 days in office. At this time, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States (or applicable country) on a full-time basis without the need for current or future immigration sponsorship. The role involves working throughout the software development life cycle and performing in a utility capacity to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate applications with a broad understanding of a variety of languages and architectures. Responsibilities include analyzing existing applications or formulating logic for new applications, maintaining and utilizing application and programming documents, and recommending changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle utilizing Agile Scrum methodology in the creation of new software products.
  • Design, create, and deliver moderately complex program specifications for code development and support on multiple projects/issues.
  • Provide broad and in-depth knowledge of analysis, modification, and development of complex code/unit testing.
  • Advise leadership on the design, development and enforcement of business/infrastructure application standards.
  • Perform and advise on testing, validation requirements, and corrective measures for complex code deficiencies.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems or related field.
  • Typically minimum of 0-4+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of two or more opposing front/back end languages/technologies.
  • Experience working with various APIs and external services.
  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • General knowledge of ACE, Collections, CBR, Standard Batch and Purge knowledge.
  • 2-4+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data.
  • Experience with IBM Rational Tools.
