GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. These responsibilities include but not limited to lighting, power, HVAC motors and motor controls, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience with hand and power tools, pipe bending, and circuitry
  • Basic knowledge of national and New York City electrical codes
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience with a licensed electrical contractor
  • Work safely on ladders and scissor lifts, and the ability to work in high places
  • High school or trade school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of national and New York City electrical code
  • Knowledge of Ohm's law and basic electrical circuitry

Responsibilities

  • Installation and maintenance of switches, breakers, panels, receptacles, lighting fixtures, dimmer system and other electrical apparatus
  • Trouble-shoot electrical shorts, motors, and motor controls
  • Pipe bending and installing EMT, conduit, wire mold and BX
  • Maintain and clean electrical rooms, service rooms and shop
  • Other related duties
