About The Position

THE POSITION Our Hoosier Racing Tire headquarters in Plymouth, IN is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice – 2nd Shift to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment within the plant to ensure optimal operational performance. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Troubleshoot & Repair: Maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems. Machining & Welding: Perform precision machining and welding for equipment maintenance. System Diagnostics: Use schematics, gauges, and tools to identify and resolve issues. Safety & Compliance: Follow LOTO procedures, PPE requirements, and company safety policies. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to ensure smooth operations. Organization & Availability: Maintain a clean workspace and be available for overtime or vacancy coverage as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ months of maintenance technician experience or equivalent knowledge in troubleshooting and basic hydraulic/mechanical repairs.
• Consideration will be given to candidates with 2+ years of tire manufacturing experience in lieu of maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Limited travel within the U.S. may be required.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

• Relocation is not offered for this position.
