About The Position

Maintenance Assistant Hampton Inn by Hilton Murray Ky Maintenance Assistant Integral Hospitality Solutions Hampton Inn by Hilton Murray is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to support daily operations and ensure our property remains safe, functional, and guest-ready at all times. This role plays a critical part in protecting the guest experience, maintaining brand standards, and supporting preventative maintenance initiatives. Position Summary The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for completing work orders, performing preventive maintenance, assisting with repairs, and supporting overall property upkeep. This position works closely with the General Manager and maintenance leadership to maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational hotel environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders and guest room repairs in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general carpentry tasks
  • Conduct regular property walks to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Support emergency response situations (water leaks, power outages, equipment failure, etc.)
  • Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors when necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and parts used
