About The Position

Allegro Parkland is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of our senior living community in Parkland, FL. From responding to work orders to supporting preventative maintenance, your work directly contributes to residents feeling proud to call Allegro home. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Assistant is to assist the Maintenance Director (MD) in maintaining and operating the physical aspects of the Property.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of one (1) year maintenance-related experience including working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
  • Must be an independent worker with effective communication skills able to multi-task and be organized.
  • Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school diploma preferred.
  • HVAC and other related maintenance certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the MD to ensure that the Community is always covered in the event of an emergency.
  • Assist the MD in the preventative and routine maintenance programs to ensure that mechanical equipment, building structures and grounds are properly maintained.
  • Assist the MD in the safe operation of all mechanical equipment through routine physical inspections.
  • Assist MD to ensure that all maintenance work and storage areas are maintained in a safe, organized, and clean manner.
  • Assist MD in maintaining online work order system, efficiently use the system and help delegate work orders to staff.
  • Follow OSHA and Company guidelines relating to lock down and tag out procedures that are approved for the Community and follow OSHA standards for safe working procedures.
